Rate: £47.86 per hour umbrella (Inside IR35)

Overview:

  • The role will spend the majority of their time sharing specialist knowledge and providing support to business facing generalists in a business or sector working with other People Advisors and People Partners within the People Function. Requires a good understanding of how to deliver in their area of specialism and how to integrate and deliver projects and changes to processes in a business.
  • Role holder will have a good level of knowledge and bring components of best practice and external benchmarking to BAE. This could be in specialist areas not limited to but for example: employee relations, strategic workforce planning (SWP), Learning and Development, Talent Management and nurturing, Performance and Capability, diversity and inclusion and Reward.
  • The individual would have good level of experience within their area of specialism with a strong focus on customer service and would interface with the wider People team and associated stakeholders across the business, providing specialist support. Individual will typically have experience in applying policies and practices in a niche skill environment as part of a broader Centre of Expertise area.
  • Role requires a good understanding of the business and a good knowledge of People processes and procedures. The role could involve some complex activities, with a requirement to arrive at conclusions and follow the most appropriate course of action seeking advice from senior members of the team as required.

Typical Duties:

  • Supports the deployment of an overall specialism, best practice policies, processes, governance and supporting tools.
  • Provides specialist advice including facilitation of refinement, development planning, design and delivery of solutions in their area of expertise.
  • Reviews data to identify solutions that improve performance.
  • Advocates of key tools e.g. Success Factors, able to transfer system knowledge across the Business.
  • Supports projects to deliver agreed business/functional outcomes.
  • Contributes to steering/working groups to deliver Centre of Expertise (COE) requirements.
  • Supports delivery end to end services (including services provided by People Services and external third parties).
  • Develops effective and positive relationships with the People Team and other stakeholders within the business as required.
  • Works with other CoE�s and other partners to deliver integrated business-focussed solutions.
  • Provides analytical insight and the ability to interpret, manage and manipulate data with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Supports, where applicable, the development of frameworks, governance, education and supporting tools to ensure effective business implementation and delivery including but not all of:-
  • Development and deployment of talent pools and associated development interventions in partnership with other COE;
  • Job families and competency frameworks, leadership and functional, in conjunction with other content specialists;
  • Assessment and evaluation of best practice and process;
  • Performance management; developmental activities and coaching;
  • Cyclical Employee Value Proposition Activities � Pay Reviews, Incentives, psychological contract;
  • Key talent programmes e.g. Sigma, Graduates High Potential programmes etc.;
  • Diversity and Inclusion best practice approaches.
