Bioinformatician – Remote working contract – 6 months – outside IR35 paying Β£450 a day depending on experience – CNV – DNA sequencing
Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract Bioinformatician, this is outside IR35 and initially 6 months paying up to Β£450 a day depending on experience
Essential experience for the role:
β’ PhD/Masters degree in bioinformatics, data/computer science or related field
β’ >3 years experience in applied bioinformatics and Illumina NGS omics data
β’ Hands on-experience with DNASeq analysis pipelines from BCL/FASTQ to VCF
β’ Experience with CNV calling from WGS/ WES
β’ Experience with somatic variant calling in an Oncology context
β’ Strong programming skills with Python (and/or R) and bash scripting/Linux
β’ Experience with benchmarking bioinformatics tools
β’ Experience with cloud computing and ideally AWS
β’ Experience with github and version control
β’ Pipelining experience with Nextflow or equivalents
