7Force – Supplier Relationship Manager – Operations and Community Services – Cambs
Location: Dependent on applicant’s location, can be based anywhere across the 7 Forces
Reporting to: 7F Head of Category Management
Employer: 7 Forces Commercial Services (employed by 7 Forces Commercial Services)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £53,667 plus Market Rate Supplement £4000; 37 hours per week
Location details: Agile, Headquarters, Huntingdon, Cambs; Travel across all seven forces will be required

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the commercial relationship with a designated portfolio of strategic suppliers to ensure value for money for the 7 Forces.
- Lead and/or support complex commercial negotiations with key suppliers, promoting innovation and ensuring best value; address and enforce sanctions for poor performance.
- Assist in defending the relevant Force(s) from contractual claims.
- Engage a range of internal stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and influence external organisations to achieve objectives.
- Drive change and develop an integrated commercial and contract management function across the seven forces.
- Travel across the UK as required to perform duties.
Required qualifications and experience
- MCIPS Level 6 or clearly evidenced equivalent experience, technical knowledge, and expertise as a commercially focused procurement professional for a complex public sector organisation.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of current contract law and the application of EU Public Procurement Regulations and legislation.
- Strong analytical skills to align procurement solutions with customer needs; ability to think strategically about category market developments and opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong commercial acumen; proven negotiating and influencing skills; ability to drive through change and enhance an integrated contract management function.
- Good organisational, time management and project management skills; ability to deliver results to deadlines.
- Ability to travel as required throughout the UK.

- Experience in supplier relationship management with a track record of successful negotiations and resolving contractual disputes.
- Capacity to engage internal stakeholders across varying levels of seniority and external partners.
