As an Engineering Project Manager you will deliver the capital of the Capital plan, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully. You will support in scoping concepts & developing solutions through to capex writing, submission, and management of projects. You will be accountable for project completion including contractor management, KPI sign off and ‘customer’ acceptance.
The role of the Line Operations Manager is to lead the line team to both set and achieve continuous performance improvement aligned with the site and market requirements. The Line Operations Manager owns the performance of the line 24 hours a day, every day, and is responsible for developing the team, for implementing the integrated work system (IWS) operating standards, and for driving performance excellence.
Responsibilities
- Role model high standards, complying with safety standards, all the time.
- Demonstrating high good manufacturing practice (GMP) / housekeeping standards.
- Making decisions in a way to sustain the foundation.
- Maintaining equipment standards.
- Driving daily management systems (DMSs) discipline as a result of Run-to-Target (RTT).
- Driving the execution of the daily management system (DMS) work.
- Leading the team – managing and inspiring employee performance and career direction, and driving employee retention and commitment.
- Enabling the organization to both deliver better results and unleash employees’ potential via building capability.
- Building and leading a strong team to perform at peak, driving accountabiity and developing the line team’s ability to deliver the results on a 7-day/24-hour basis.
- Bringing external capability, Identifying where there is a gap in a result due to a capability gap, and bringing in external capability to fulfill the gap.
- Demonstrating leadership in challenging situations. Recognizing that true leadership capability is tested in a difficult situation. Taking challenges as an opportunity to demonstrate leadership capability.
Qualifications
- Ideally you will have experience from a FMCG or similar production/manufacturing environment.
- First line leadership training and demonstrated leadership in the areas of operations, safety, and quality.
- Great leadership, communication, influencing, analytical skills and effective stakeholder management.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with structured problem tools.
- Flexible, ‘can do,’ attitude to role and duties.
- Results driven and understands the link between action and results.
- Excellent communicator with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to influence upwards and across in the organisation.
- Good IT and presentation skills.
