Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O’Rourke, two of Europe’s most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.
Bylor are pushing the boundaries of innovation and modern technology while delivering high quality construction on a massive scale. Bylor have already broken the UK record for the largest continuous concrete pour of 9,000m3 of concrete.

Purpose of the role:
- Support site production team with day to day planning.
- Develop LA schedule (16WLA – 4WLA) in alignment with the main Programme of Works and follow up to ensure time compliance.
- Support material’s and labour forecast in liaison with the production team.
- Updating progress of the Main Programme of Works in liaison with the respective line/function manager from the Bristol team.
- Assist in meetings with the Site team.
- Training and coaching of new team members.
- Production of dashboards and weekly reporting.
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:
- Maintenance of programme and other time related material.
- Implementing robust project controls, accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Contributes to precontract planning, work winning and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives.
- Develops strategic planning techniques.
- Experience working in civils is extremely important.
- Exceptional planners who can assist project leads with optimising methods, not just follow plans.
- Must be commercially aware with the ability to see the bigger picture, understand the complexity of the project and the effects/”what ifs” of certain actions and delays etc.
- Must be able to communicate and coordinate with all departments.
- All planners will now be based from site primarily.
- Ideally they will have experience with Primavera P6 and Navisworks 3D

Additional Information:
All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O’Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
Unless stated otherwise all positions are based at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
