POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you a passionate gamer with a background in research? SEGA is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Research Executive to join our Consumer Insights team based in London. This role is instrumental in helping SEGA’s global publishing and development teams make informed, data-driven decisions through expertly designed research initiatives.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including with both custom survey design and syndicated data platforms. This role requires a confident & passionate researcher with a keen interest in a range of methodologies, who can carry out research projects from design through to analysis and reporting of insights to key stakeholders across the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support with the design & execution of custom research projects: work with the senior research manager to help conduct adhoc research projects, including but not limited to designing surveys / screeners / discussion guides and testing stimulus, liaising with external providers and internal stakeholders, analysis & reporting.
- Manage internally led qualitative research studies: work with studios & recruiters to conduct internal qualitative research projects, including concept testing, marketing asset testing and playtesting.
- Lead CRM survey projects: work with other members of the Consumer Insights team and key stakeholders to design, develop, and field surveys to our CRM database, taking each project from inception to debrief.
- Topical research projects: work within the Consumer Insights team and across other teams to identify and develop opportunities for topical research projects, with the aim to inform the business on key areas of interest within the industry.
- New tools and approaches: be ready to identify and evaluate new methodologies and tools that can help answer business questions and enhance the offerings of the Consumer Insights team.
- Evangelise research: be an advocate for research across the business, open and willing to help increase research literacy and maximise the impact of insights through relationship building and delivering quality.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
In this section it is important that you are as clear as possible around the specific job experience, knowledge and technical skills that are required to define the employee’s competency for the role and to help them understand what is required from them.
- Background in Consumer Research: Minimum 2-3 years working in research with experience across qualitative and quantitative methods
- Experience in executing mixed method research studies: including survey & discussion guide design, recruitment and data analysis
- Experience working with syndicated data platforms including cross-tabulation functionality
- Skilled in creating insights driven and visually engaging powerpoint presentations
- Clear & effective in presenting findings to a range of key stakeholders
- Comfortable working with key stakeholders across the business to understand requirements & objectives
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, such as Psychology or Business Management
