The opportunity:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills in a dynamic, customer-facing area within Zurich?
Due to the growth of our Corporate Risk Business, we are looking to recruit an additional Team Leader within our Operations Function. The successful candidate will lead a highly customer-focused operational team. You will be expected to manage the team to ensure we deliver quality outcomes alongside challenging service levels, including managing seasonal workload peaks, whilst also developing strong business relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.

What will you be doing?
- Delivering against key business, team, and individual KPIs
- Ensuring robust governance is in place and maintained across the team to operate and remain compliant at all times
- Maintaining awareness of work volumes, trends, and activities to enable responsive capacity and resource management
- Undertaking all aspects of performance management, including talent and succession planning, and celebrating success
- Working closely with other operational team leaders to ensure a successful claims function
- Collaborating with the Training Academy and Technical Support Teams to inspire, support, and develop team members to reach their full potential
- Supporting and encouraging innovation to improve customer outcomes
- Producing accurate and timely reports as required
Who are we looking for?
- Experience managing a team (Group Risk or operational environment preferred but not essential)
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with varying workloads
- Passion for customers and continuous improvement
- Effective listening and influencing skills, including handling difficult conversations
- Strong communication skills, engaging with sensitivity when needed
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment skills
- Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and root cause analysis
- GR1 & CF1 or equivalent technical knowledge within Group Risk, or willingness to study
