This isn’t just credit control, it’s about making a real difference.

About The Role

You’ll take ownership of income recovery across a wide-ranging and exciting portfolio — from sleek city apartments to complex HMOs — all managed from our central head office. With a proactive and compassionate approach, you’ll tackle arrears, serve legal notices, liaise with solicitors, and support court proceedings where needed — all while doing your utmost to help residents remain in their homes whenever possible.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively manage rent arrears and take early action to prevent debt escalation
  • Liaise with residents, offer guidance on payments and welfare support, and signpost where appropriate
  • Serve Section 8 and Section 21 notices where required
  • Work closely with solicitors to prepare and support legal action, including eviction processes
  • Attend court hearings and accompany bailiffs to properties as needed
  • Monitor Universal Credit claims and housing benefit payments
  • Accurately update records, financial reports, and arrears tracking systems
  • Balance firm recovery action with a resident-first approach that seeks long-term solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in income recovery or tenancy enforcement, ideally across social, leasehold and residential
  • Strong knowledge of Universal Credit processes and housing-related benefits would be beneficial
  • Confidence in serving legal notices and managing court processes
  • Compassionate communicator who can remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Experience liaising with vulnerable tenants and supporting them towards successful outcomes
  • Confident using housing systems and pulling financial data to monitor progress

Why Join Us?

We’re a values-led, fast-growing organisation where people matter. You’ll be joining a passionate team working at the heart of our housing operations, with the support and tools you need to succeed — and space to grow if you want to take the next step in your career.
