Location: Chatham (Hybrid 2 to 3 days per week in office)
Salary: Up to £35,000 salary (dependent on experience)

Your Mission as the Junior Assurance Engineer
Step into the role of Junior Assurance Engineer and play a pivotal part in ensuring our metering systems meet the highest standards. Youll lead technical audits and deliver compliance validation for key players in the Capacity Market under the Electricity Market Reform scheme. Every assessment you make will shape the accuracy and reliability of energy reporting across the UK.
What Youll Tackle As The Junior Assurance Engineer
- Conduct desk-based assurance audits of metering systems for Capacity Market participants
- Apply rigorous rules to assess pass-fail outcomes and document technical observations
- Analyse single line diagrams and electrical schematics for regulatory alignment
- Evaluate test certificates for meters and instrument transformers to ensure precision
- Calculate equipment errors under working burden and verify overall system accuracy
- Validate aggregation rules and logic for volume reporting to EMRS
