About the role
The Senior Payroll Advisor is responsible the processing of our Payrolls in a timely and accurate manner. They will need to maintain employees’ details and calculate wages and deductions based on employee attendance and timesheets.
As a Senior Payroll Advisor you will be responsible for
Processing of the end-to-end UK payrolls, including managing payroll changes, changing tax codes, creating maternity schedules, preparing payment files for submission, and ensuring that all payroll deadlines are met.
- Work with the People Team to verify payroll data for compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Retail team to build KPI’s and streamline processes.
- Handle sensitive and confidential data and pay transactions.
- Processing payments on the bank and managing any returned payments
- Support end of year payroll activities and reporting
- Producing monthly reporting for finance and ad-hoc summary reports.
- Help to manage the payroll inbox and provide advice, guidance on payroll queries, policies, procedures, and systems to both managers and colleagues
- Maintaining corporate procedures and statutory obligations and assisting the Payroll Manager & Global Head of Payroll in reviewing and auditing payroll submissions
- Partner closely with third-party providers on local regulations around Payroll, Taxes and National Insurance
- Perform control checks for audit / reporting and timely completion of information for ongoing Internal and External audits.
- Improve processes and drive requirements for additional improvements to eliminate manual processes which might also involve partnering with other regions across the business.
- Supporting in the administration of company benefits such as Medicash and Cycle to Work
