Working on behalf of our client based on a project in Lockerbie, we are currently recruiting for an MEP Project Manager.

The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced MEP Package / Project Manager to oversee the MEP aspects of their project. You will be responsible for managing the MEP packages from design through to installation, commissioning, and handover. This role requires someone who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver to tight deadlines, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage MEP packages, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to assess costs and manage procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in all MEP designs and installations.
  • Liaise with the wider project team to ensure integration of MEP works into the overall construction program.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct inspections and oversee testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • Proven experience as an MEP Package or Project Manager, ideally within the construction of food manufacturing or similar facilities.
  • Utilities project experience (DAF plants or storage vessels) would be advantageous
  • Experience managing design, procurement, and installation phases of MEP packages.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience with industrial heat pumps is desirable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project is essential
  • CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification are desirable.
