As Motor Transport Manager you are responsible for the operational fleet of vehicles at East Midlands Airport, including snow ploughs, ambulances, lifts and maintenance vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Manage all maintenance, repairs, testing and servicing of the vehicles.
- Allocate work to team members, ensuring timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Procure parts efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Leverage technological advances in vehicles and apply sustainability practices within the fleet.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
- Experience in a workshop environment.
- Experience leading a team.
- Current HGV Inspector with Institute of Road Transport Certificate (IRTEC).
- Hydraulics Stage 1 with CETOP accreditation.
- IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
- Internal Quality Systems Auditing or equivalent.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- HGV and Fork Lift Truck Licence an advantage.
- Ability to remain flexible to overtime demands.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Microsoft Office IT literacy.
