A global investment firm is seeking a Head of Data Management to drive its enterprise data strategy and lead a high-impact team across governance, market data, operations, and architecture. This is a key leadership role at the centre of data, AI, and investment decision-making.
What You’ll Lead
Enterprise Data Strategy
- Define and execute a firm-wide data strategy aligned to AI, analytics, and regulatory needs
- Collaborate closely with data science, investment, and operational teams
Governance & Quality
- Build data frameworks, policies, and controls across all domains
- Lead initiatives for metadata, lineage, and data quality across security master, holdings, and reference data
Market Data Oversight
- Manage relationships with vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MSCI
- Oversee licensing, contract optimisation, and cost control
Operational Excellence
- Ensure robust day-to-day data operations including ingestion, reconciliation, exception handling
- Build scalable, automated workflows supporting multiple asset classes
- Shape a modern, cloud-native data platform (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Databricks)
- Partner with engineering to enable real-time and event-driven data flows
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory readiness (e.g. GDPR, CCPA)
- Serve as a key stakeholder during audits and internal reviews
Leadership
- Scale and mentor a cross-functional team across data domains
- Champion a data-first culture across the business
What You Bring
- 10+ years in enterprise data leadership within asset management or investment services
- Deep experience with market data feeds, security master, benchmarks, and investment data workflows
- Knowledge of modern data platforms and tools (Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, AWS/Azure)
- Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives and advanced analytics
- Proven ability to influence, educate, and lead across technical and non-technical teams
