What success will look like for you as a Principal Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer?

As a Principal Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the team of highly motivated engineers, ensuring the structural integrity and longevity of our eVTOL aircraft. You will define, understand, and carry out tasks that enable the certification of structures and related means of compliance activities in the F&DT regime.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
  2. Ensure the structural integrity and longevity of eVTOL aircraft.
  3. Define and execute tasks for certification of structures in the F&DT regime.

Qualifications:

To be successful in your role, you will have over 10 years of experience in aerospace fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, with deep knowledge of fatigue analysis, fracture mechanics, and damage tolerance principles. You will have held authorisation signature. Proficiency in NASGRO, AFGROW, and Abaqus, along with a strong understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes, including composites and metals, is essential. You must be experienced in certification processes, regulatory compliance, and possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with a background in managing and mentoring technical teams.
