This role involves supporting a variety of programmes and R&D initiatives, while contributing to the growth of our engineering capability—a key driver of the business\’s strategic expansion.Based at our Harlow site on a hybrid working model (3 days on-site), you will report directly to the ATMS Senior Engineering Manager.As the **Systems Engineering Manager**, you will lead the systems engineering team, overseeing resource allocation and providing technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of military and civil projects worldwide. Designed and manufactured in the UK, our products are exported globally to RTX customers in more than 45 countries.**Responsibilities*** Accountable manager for the ATMS System Engineering team (12 Systems Engineers) supporting all programmes* Leading preparation of technical proposals in responses to bids* Leading requirements analysis and management tasks – from capturing customer requirements to developing requirement sets for sub-systems & suppliers* Leading systems design and development tasks – working both internally and closely with the existing supply chain and strategic partnerships to develop technical solutions* Leading systems integration, verification and validation tasks – from developing sub-system level test specifications, through to generating compliance matrices to allow sign-off of top-level systems for delivery* Defining the systems capabilities aspects of the APNT technology and product roadmaps**Required Experience*** Degree in an engineering (or related) subject* Experience in accountability for and management of a systems engineering team across the product development lifecycle* Experience in workload management and dynamic tasking across several projects for the systems function* Experience in developing systems engineering capabilities across programmes and staffing experience levels* Proven stakeholder management skills* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills* Willingness to travel throughout UK, Europe and the US* Eligible for BPSS and SC clearance levels**Desirable*** Surveillance radar domain knowledge and/or experience* Experience in systems modelling approaches and simulation* Knowledge of the certification process as part of the overall system lifecycle**Benefits and Work Culture*** Early finish Fridays, with a 37 hr working week* Flexible working culture focused on output, with more formal flexible working arrangements on request (assessed subject to role) – please highlight any requests to the Talent Acquisition team.* Competitive salaries* 25 days holiday, increasing with service, + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days* Up to 5 paid days volunteering each year* Contributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)* Company bonus scheme (discretionary)* 6 times salary \’Life Assurance\’ with pension* Flexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others* Enhanced sick pay* Enhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity & shared parental leave* Private Medical Insurance**RTX**Raytheon UK is a landed company and part of the wider RTX organisation.
