Sandwell Council Youth Service aims to provide opportunities to create personal learning and development opportunities for all young people in Sandwell. The service is made up of Centre Based, Detached and specialised youth work teams working across the six towns in Sandwell. We are looking for a JNC qualified and experienced Senior Youth Officer who can meet the needs and aspirations of young people and deliver high quality Youth Work with individual young people and through group settings. More than just a leader, you\’ll be an inspirational mentor for young people and will ensure that their voice is represented in the service we provide. The successful applicant will manage, plan, deliver and evaluate services and activities in a variety of settings to meet the needs of young people in Smethwick and Oldbury. Youth work is mainly delivered in the evenings and the successful applicant will be required to regularly work at least 3 evenings and occasional weekends.
