SHE Business Partner Location: York Salary: Market Rate Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday Your role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SHE Business Partner to join our Health and Safety team. Reporting to the head of Health & Safety, this role involves actively working with Site Managers and Site Management teams in the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment requirements, ensuring that company and legal standards are compliance across multiple sites. You will lead SHE initiatives, drive a proactive accident prevention approach and promote a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the business. You will be the SHE lead within the nominated region, ensuring site compliance against company SHE policy, through monitoring, conducting site audits. You’ll make sure all accidents and Incidents (where applicable) are investigated in line with company procedures and manage the notification/ reporting of RIDDOR Accidents to the Health and Safety Executive via SHE Management. The SHE Business Partner will be developing SHE policies and procedures, maintaining site emergency teams and oversee the development of effective Health and Safety leadership team on site, including an effective team of Representatives of Employee Safety throughout the region. They will also support site leadership to ensure environmental processes conform to UK legislative requirements and coordinate with site management to drive waste reduction and recycling. As a SHE Business Partner you will ideally be a qualified member of an appropriate recognised HSE professional body such as IOSH, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an SHE role within a Manufacturing/Logistics organisation. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislative requirements and an understanding of environmental aspects and impacts. Excellent person management and relationships skills are essential, and you must be comfortable working effectively within a broad range of working environments within a team or alone.
