Job Description
**MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A LOCAL AUTHORITY + IN NEIGHBOURHOODS STRATEGY **
Pay: £500P/D OUTSIDE IR35.
Duration: 6 Months +
Location: London
Hybrid – 2 – 3 days a week on site
Working : Would consider Part Time – 4 Days
We’re working with a forward-thinking London local authority seeking a dynamic Project Lead to drive the development and delivery of a bold Neighbourhood Strategy.
This role offers the opportunity to shape place-based policy and service integration at a neighbourhood level, aligning council departments, partner agencies, and communities to deliver more locally responsive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of the borough’s Neighbourhood Strategy
- Facilitate cross-sector collaboration with residents, voluntary sector, health partners, and council services
- Coordinate internal workstreams to ensure effective governance and delivery
- Translate strategic priorities into practical, place-based actions
- Provide thought leadership on community empowerment and local service reform
Ideal Candidate:
- MUST – Experience in local government or public sector transformation
- Proven ability to lead multi-agency, locality-based programmes
- Strong political awareness and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident working across housing, health, community engagement, and regeneration
- Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability
