A cutting-edge science and technology start-up is looking for a proactive and capable Office Manager to support its London team. If you enjoy managing people-focused environments, love logistics and organisation, and want to make a visible impact on team culture and day-to-day operations—this is your chance to join a growing, mission-driven company.
You’ll manage office and lab facilities, lead local culture and engagement initiatives, and ensure the space runs smoothly and reflects the company’s values.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee facilities for office and lab spaces, including vendor and landlord relationships
- Organise team lunches, social events, and company culture initiatives
- Coordinate general office operations including supplies, post, and couriers
- Ensure meeting rooms and communal spaces are presentation-ready
- Support health & safety protocols, including hazardous waste handling
- Assist with cross-functional administrative tasks and projects as required
- Manage workspace layout and optimise for team growth
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience as an Office Manager, ideally in a start-up
- Excellent organisation and multitasking skills
- Strong communication, both written and verbal
- High degree of initiative, ownership, and independence
- Friendly and professional presence with a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to have:
- Experience managing hazardous waste or lab facilities
- Budget planning for workspace operations
- Eye for workspace design and optimisation
