A pioneering biotech company based in central London is seeking a proactive and hands-on Office Manager to oversee daily operations and foster a positive company culture. This is a varied and dynamic role in a fast-paced start-up where you\’ll be instrumental in shaping the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of facilities management and office operations.
- Maintain relationships with landlords, vendors, and building management.
- Organise team socials, lunches, and cultural events to drive internal engagement.
- Ensure the office and lab areas are welcoming, clean, and client-ready.
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal and office logistics including post, couriers, and supply orders.
- Act as the key point of contact for all London office-related matters.
- Manage space planning and optimise layouts during team growth.
- Provide admin support and assist with cross-functional projects.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years’ experience in an office management role, preferably in a start-up or scale-up.
- Exceptionally organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Enthusiastic team player with a flexible mindset and ability to handle ambiguity.
- Experience managing facilities, suppliers, and office budgets.
- Knowledge of lab environments and hazardous waste protocols is a plus.
