We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will engage with our customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform. Your primary responsibilities include leading projects through the entire project lifecycle—defining, designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions using our low-code platform for our commercial clients. This involves working within an agile environment to understand client processes and needs, launching relational data models, developing APIs for system integrations, and mentoring consultants during fast-paced implementations. You will collaborate with client technical teams and users to ensure successful adoption and empower clients to build their own process applications.
This role is based at our European HQ in London. Appian values in-person collaboration as a key to our culture and success. Employees are expected to work in the office five days a week to foster teamwork and share ideas, which we believe enhances our collective performance.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Need:
- Passion for mentoring and experience leading small teams in post-sale software implementation.
- Ability to work with clients to define business processes and gather system requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, a passion for technology, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Proven success in cross-functional teams; experience with agile methodologies (pair programming, stand-ups, planning, sprints).
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Knowledge of software testing practices, API integrations (REST, SOAP), JDBC, web services, and familiarity with AWS, AI, Analytics, ML, Google Cloud, and containerization (preferred).
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagement.
