The Capex Accountant will support the Capex Investment Manager in ensuring financial control and accurate management accounts for Capex spend and fixed asset reporting. The main responsibilities of the role will include all month-end activity, forecasting and budgeting responsibility and financial reporting deliverables. Alongside providing valuable insights through reporting and financial analysis. Responsibilities Include: • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all Network Capex, including journalling of accrued expenses and income • Production of balance sheet reconciliations • Ensure timely and accurate billing of all services to customers • To produce Capex, WIP, Fixed asset register & asset retirement obligations monthly. This requires analysis, understanding & collation of large & complex data sets from multiple sources. • Preparation of Statutory Accounts Footnotes for the relevant fixed assets and other relevant areas • External audit support • Produce Customer Billing and resolving queries • Produce the Monthly Capex results with supporting commentary • Understand the relationship between business activities and the drivers of capex to identify Opportunities and Risks • Supporting the Finance Manager to identify appropriate analysis including variance analysis, calculation of key metrics and non-financial measures • Ensuring detailed understanding of finance system and associated processes to identify improvements in accuracy and efficiency wherever possible • Ownership of Capex financial forecast for Network Capex, including presentation and approval with stakeholders • Work collaboratively across the company to deliver the Capex Budget and subsequent forecasts Ideally, You’ll Have: • Financial accounting knowledge and experience of managing stakeholder relationships • CIMA / ACCA qualification with relevant experience • Agresso ERP application software In Return We’re Offering: • Competitive salary and an excellent bonus structure • 30 days holiday (plus the ability to buy or sell 5 days) • Competitive pension scheme • Hybrid working • Life insurance • Cycle to Work • Retail Discount • Competitive refer a friend scheme • Private Healthcare Insurance
