Accounts Assistant – Warrington
Hybrid working pattern – 2 from home
Temporary – 2 months (potential to become permanent)
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week – flexible start and finish times
Adaptable Recruitment is working on behalf of a reputable business in Warrington to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the role developing into a permanent position. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and growing finance team. The role offers hybrid working with two days from home.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)
- Processing high-volume AP invoices accurately and efficiently
- Intercompany postings and reconciliations
- Cashbook management and daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing and processing payment runs
- Uploading and processing banking transactions through Lloyds online system
- Resolving supplier queries and maintaining accurate supplier accounts
Additional Transactional Duties
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable tasks including raising sales invoices
- Allocating customer receipts and supporting credit control when required
- Supporting month-end processes including reconciliations and reports
- Assisting the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial tasks
Skills and Experience Required
- Sage 200 experience is essential
- Strong accounts payable experience
- Confident Excel user (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables desirable)
- Experience with Lloyds or similar online banking platforms
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proactive communicator who can manage workloads effectively
