Lhoist are a successful, international Belgium company that has several sites in the UK. As a manufacturer of high-quality lime and dolomitic lime products we deliver to a widening worldwide market. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Laboratory team working at our Hindlow plant, covering maternity leave. Working both independently and as part of a team, within a laboratory and weighbridge setting on a 4-week rotating shift pattern. 6-2, 7-3, 8-4, 2-10.Monday to Friday plus every fourth Saturday. The main duties will include: Carry out production quality control testing and reporting Carry out pre-dispatch testing and reporting Safety induction of new drivers Operate weighbridge shipping system Maintain laboratory equipment and general housekeeping. Provide cover for other shifts during holidays and absences. You will need to be IT literate, particularly in Excel and have a good standard of Maths and English. An NVQ (or equivalent) in chemistry and/or SAP, LIMS or other database proficiency would be an advantage.
