We’re a FoodTech scale-up with over £25mill of funding, and we want to revolutionise food delivery through the creation and franchising of virtual food brands (brands designed for delivery), operated by anyone that runs a commercial kitchen, there’s 70,000 of them in the UK. We offer kitchen operators everything they need to sell our brands through delivery apps whilst continuing to service their core customers. You run the kitchen, we do the rest!

We are looking for a Head of Finance either on a permanent or Interim basis to join our team.

The Responsibilities:

Business partnering, team leadership, and development

  1. Partner with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
  2. Provide financial insights to support key business decisions.
  3. Identify and mitigate financial risks while optimizing opportunities for profitability and scalability.
  4. Build and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  5. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Cost Management and Optimization

  1. Analyze financial performance against key metrics and deliver actionable recommendations for improvement.
  2. Evaluate and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or growth potential.
  3. Conduct monthly financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and reallocation of resources.

Accounting, compliance, and payment processes

  1. Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  2. Liaise with outsourced jurisdictional accountants to ensure overseas subsidiaries financial records are maintained to a legally compliant level.
  3. Oversee the annual audit process.
  4. Support external accountants to ensure accounting and tax compliance across all markets.
  5. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance functions.
  6. Support the junior finance team with technical challenges around accounts payable, and receivable.
  7. Implement internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce the risk of fraud.

Systems and Process Optimization

  1. Oversee the fortnightly partner payment run process, ensuring payments are accurate and delivered to contractual timeframes.
  2. Implement and maintain financial systems and tools suitable for a growing organization.
  3. Develop scalable processes to improve efficiency in financial operations and reporting.
  4. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for stakeholders, including investors and board members.
  5. Build out effective processes for partner charging across all revenue streams.
  6. Manage banking relationships.
