Job Description
Quality Managerat IPS is a customer facing role which will serve as first point of contact for customer visits and external audits. TheQuality Managerwill manage and maintain food safety, legal and quality of all products produced at IPS, in accordance with IPS QMS, BRC standards and Customer Codes of Practice.
This is a fixed term position for a minimum of 9 months.
Working hours:Monday to Friday, 40 hour week.
Salary:Β£33,474 per annum.
Key Duties of aQuality Manager:
- Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health and safety requirements
- Represent the Quality Team within the site Senior Management Team
- Effective management and motivation of the site quality and hygiene teams to achieve commercial, site and quality objectives within the agreed timelines
- Measuring site standards across all operations in line with business, customer and legislative requirements
- Review, audit and challenge factory operations with regards to product safety and quality to ensure that manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards in line with the overarching Group Quality Management System
- Act as the site HACCP Team Leader ensuring development and monitoring of the site HACCP system.
- Manage and conduct Internal Audits to ensure compliance to internal and external standards. All anomalies are to be reported and closed out
- Champion the Food Safety Quality Culture plan and Customer Complaints reduction for the site and develop and report leading measures
- Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to effectively deliver change, improvements and new products to the business ensuring food safety and quality whilst demonstrating the business behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with the central group technical function to assist in the development, implementation and management of Quality Management and operating procedures including allergen management, micro management, pest control and hygiene operations.
- Using Root Cause Analysis, ensure that any non-conformances including audit actions and customer complaints, are investigated and acted upon to minimise any future risks.
- Manage the training and development of new starters within own department and provide ongoing training.
- Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
Qualifications
- FMCG Food Manufacturing Background.
- Managing and accountable for a site QA & Hygiene Team.
- Working to KPIs/Deadlines.
- Management of Food Safety, Legality and Quality Systems.
- HACCP Level 3 or above.
- Internal Audit Training.
- IT Literate β MS Packages.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and positive manner and foster an open and collaborative culture.
- Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst representing the Quality Team within the site Management Team.
