A female personal assistant is required to help a lady with multiple sclerosis who lives in the HU6 area. She likes dominoes, jigsaws, watching soaps and in particular shopping. She is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, respectful, reliable and flexible.

She needs support to maintain her personal independence which involves use of a powered wheelchair and transfer by hoist.
She has a permanent PEG gastronomy tube and urinary catheter, which may mean that appropriate training is required and will be provided.
Duties will include personal care, medication, appropriate meal preparation and support with eating and drinking, general household duties including cleaning and laundry.

She needs to be kept safe and supervised on trips away from the home, such as visits to hospital, doctors, podiatry, shopping and meals out.
You will be working as part of a team involving some night work and flexibility to cover sickness and holidays. Experience is not essential as training will be given.

Non smoker and car driver preferred. The successful applicant will be employed subject to a DBS check.
