Job Description
We seek an experienced Principal Security Consultant to join our team in London, UK. The Principal Security Consultant will play a pivotal role in advising on and implementing advanced physical security solutions for high-profile projects across the UK. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in physical security, risk assessment, and the integration of security measures within the built environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the latest security technologies, regulatory standards, and best practices in physical security design.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage physical security projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate security requirements seamlessly into project designs
- Develop comprehensive physical security plans that address client needs and comply with regional regulations and international standards
- Design and specify security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and other related systems
- Conduct site assessments and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and maintaining strong relationships
- Prepare and present detailed security reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Conduct training and workshops for clients and project teams on security best practices and system operations
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical security technologies and trends
- Innovate and apply new security solutions and methodologies to enhance project outcomes
- Ensure all security designs are scalable, sustainable, and future-proof
- Contribute to the development of the company CAD library and develop security related CAD and BIM methodology, material and intellectual property
- Build relationships with manufacturers and if necessary, hold meetings with manufacturers and integrators to assist you to prepare a final scheme design or tender package
Essential Skills:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a security risk management or built environment discipline in security studies, physical security engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in physical security consulting, particularly within the built environment
- Preferred certifications are: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Certified Security Consultant (CSC). Additional relevant certifications related to security systems and risk management.
- Proven track record of working on high-profile projects, including commercial buildings, residential complexes, and critical infrastructure
- Software experience using AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, JVSG, VideoCAD Professional, Hawksight SRM
