Managing Director, Market Security and AnalysisWe’re hiring!Aon are currently recruiting a Managing Director, Market Security and Analysis to join our team in London. This is a hybrid position that will see you working from our London office and at home. The Managing Director will be primarily responsible for analysing the financial strength of re/insurers as well as identifying and monitoring trends in the re/insurance industry. This position will be a key technical resource to the Market Security team and business leaders within Aon. Aon’s recruitment and selection policy ensures the best possible skill mix of colleagues and the highest quality candidates are appointed using objective job-related criteria.About the RoleYour impact as a Managing Director:Perform a variety of analyses to evaluate the balance sheet strength and operating performance of complex re/insurers and groups globally.Present assessment and recommend appropriate treatment of re/insurers to senior business leaders.Assist in developing and enhancing policies and procedures related to credit risk at Aon.Contribute to thought leadership reports highlighting emerging trends in the re/insurance industry.Provide training and guidance to Market Security analysts on assessing complex re/insurers and groups.Interface with re/insurers as needed to assess changes in financial results, operating strategy and organizational structure as well as the competitive environment that may influence overall financial strength.Demonstrates initiative & ownership of client & research-related work.Take a lead role in educating business units on Market Security practices, work with Internal Audit, Compliance and Legal to help business units comply with market security requirements.Leads ad hoc projects for Market Security.Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.About youYour knowledge and expertise:Bachelor of Science Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent. MBA and/or CFA and/or CPA and/or related industry designations such as CPCU, a plus.Extensive experience in credit/financial analysis and/or related work at an insurance company, reinsurance company, reinsurance intermediary, rating agency or consulting firm.Ability to analyze P&C re/insurers and groups; Experience in assessing life and health companies, a plus.Understanding of insurance accounting, including GAAP, IFRS, and SAP.Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Experience working with P&C insurance industry databases (A.M.
