About the role:
Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Director of Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to drive business performance and deliver the best outcomes for the College.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team within the Finance department, ensuring performance and development meet the College’s strategic needs.
- Prepare and present budgets, management accounts, and financial reports for the College and its subsidiaries.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to budget holders, managers, and senior leaders, actively identifying opportunities for efficiency savings and cost improvements.
- Support investment appraisals and business cases for capital projects and College initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain effective financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Play a key role in audit processes and manage financial aspects of grants, taxation, and year-end financial accounts.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in preparing budgets and financial accounts. Experience in a Further Education College environment is highly desirable.
Qualifications: A qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) or qualified by experience. A minimum of NVQ level 3 (2 A levels or equivalent) is required.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office, experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Business Objects, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
