We have a vacancy for a Facilities Coordinator within the Security team, which is part of the Facilities Division at Lancaster University. The successful candidate will be based in the Library on Bailrigg Campus. This is a fixed-term position of 6 months.
The role involves working an average of 27 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern. During term time, shifts are 12 hours long, from 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00, seven days a week. Outside of term, hours may vary depending on the Library\’s opening hours.
The Facilities Division is responsible for all property services, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering, and estate upkeep.
Ideal candidates should be hardworking, reliable, willing to learn, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. Security experience is desirable but not essential; experience in a similar environment is advantageous. Candidates should have at least GCSE level education in Maths and English, demonstrate high standards, be able to work independently, and have a flexible approach to problem-solving. A willingness to undertake development training is also required.
