Business Development Manager – Fire & Security Systems – M&E Projects
Location: London and surrounding area
Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped sales commission scheme
The Role of Business Development Manager
As an M&E Project BDM, you will take the lead in securing Fire and Security installation projects through engagement with M&E contractors, construction consultants, and Tier 1 contractors. Your role will focus on major works and capital projects, working collaboratively with our internal technical and delivery teams to provide competitive, compliant, and compelling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Generation: Identify and target opportunities within the construction and M&E sectors across the Midlands.
- Contractor Engagement: Build relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, and quantity surveyors to influence specifications and secure project wins.
- Tendering Support: Collaborate with our pre-construction and estimating teams to develop winning proposals and presentations.
- Cross-Sell Strategy: Work with other divisions across the PTSG Group to deliver multi-discipline proposals for larger project scopes.
What experience is required?
- Proven track record of winning Fire and Security installation projects within M&E and construction environments
- Existing network of M&E contractors, specifiers, and consultants
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of margins, bid pricing, and technical compliance
- Knowledge of Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and related installation standards
