Management Accountant Leicester β Hybrid Β£50,000
SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with alongside a manufacturing group in Leicestershire in their search for a Management Accountant. This is a full time, permanent opportunity reporting into a supportive Financial Controller. The ideal Management Accountant will be part or qualified (ACCA/CIMA) & enjoy working in a small, friendly accounts team. Experience within an SME / Manufacturing business is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities β Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance reports. β Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts. β Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual results. β Perform cost accounting functions, including inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis of standard costs, manufacturing variances, and excess/obsolete inventory. β Analyse costs, revenues, margins, and profitability across products and services. β Prepare and submit quarterly VAT calculations. β Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. β Support internal and external audits. β Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process and performance improvements. β Assist with ad hoc reporting, special projects, and the development of new reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities β Strong team player with solid understanding of GAAP reporting. β Proven ability to problem-solve in an ERP-driven environment. β Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively. β Strong written and verbal communication skills. β Capable of working independently as well as within a team. β Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel functions including VLOOKUP and PivotTables). β Qualified, part-qualified, or currently pursuing CIMA, ACCA, or ACA. β Familiarity with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
