Role Overview: As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will be a key player in our estimating team, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial sprinkler projects. This role involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with project managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements. * Review technical specifications and project documents to develop detailed cost estimates. * Measure and quantify sprinkler heads, pipework, and other components. * Conduct site surveys as needed to gather necessary information for accurate estimation. * Assess and cost values of contracts, preparing tender documentation, presentations, and submittals. * Send enquiries to the supply chain and manage responses. * Mentor and support department trainees. * Familiarize yourself with and apply basic LPCB regulations. * Potential managerial responsibilities for the right candidate. Ideal Candidate: * Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer, or a similar role within the commercial sprinkler sector. * Qualifications: Familiarity with basic LPCB regulations and LPCB qualifications are highly beneficial. * Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD software is highly preferable. Knowledge of BS EN 12845 is required. * Industry Background: Previous experience within the construction industry and a basic understanding of MEP services. Work Arrangement: * Hybrid Role: Office attendance is required at least 4 days a week, with the possibility of future hybrid work arrangements.
