Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Mechanical Pump Engineer(Field Based) to join our esteemed, market-leading client, a specialist in pumping equipment solutions with over 60 years of industry expertise in the Orpington area!

You\’ll work closely alongside a skilled Electrical Engineer to respond to breakdowns, perform servicing, and handle installation and commissioning of a wide range of pumping systems.

This role is ideal for someone mechanically biased with hands-on experience in pumps, valves, pipework, water treatment, drainage, or utilities.

This is aFull-Time, Permanentposition!

What youll be doing

  • Carry out mechanical servicing, installations, and commissioning of equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations, kiosks, etc
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to optimise performance
  • Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
  • Complete detailed site reports and log progress
  • Ensure health & safety compliance on all tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on-site
  • Operate and maintain a company van, stocked with tools and supplies

Hours

Monday to Friday (Day Shifts) – 40 hours per week

Flexibility required (no weekends)

Pay

£35,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Overtime available and paid at time 1/3 & time 1/2

Skills/Experience Required

Essential

  • Hands-on experience with Pumps, Valves, Pipework or similar
  • A valid UK driving licence

Preferred

  • Mechanical engineering qualifications
  • A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc
  • CSCS, First Aid or Confined space training
