Our client, a highly regarded city law firm, is seeking an ambitious solicitor with 2-4 years of PQE to join their leading Trust & Estate Disputes team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a newly created position within a busy and growing practice, offering the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex contentious private client matters.

The Team & Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a top-tier Trust & Estate Disputes team, working alongside experienced and highly respected lawyers in the field. The team specialises in representing high-net-worth individuals, trustees, executors, and beneficiaries across a broad range of contentious matters. The role offers exposure to significant and varied work, including:
- Trust disputes, including breach of trust and removal applications.
- Inheritance disputes, including validity challenges and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
- Court of Protection and capacity-related disputes.
- Crypto-related disputes, including tracing and recovery.
- Advising on non-contentious trust structures and stress testing.
- Cross-border and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
The firm takes a strategic and innovative approach to resolving disputes, prioritising sensitivity and discretion, and utilising alternative dispute resolution methods where appropriate.
Role Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- A UK-qualified solicitor with 2-4 years of PQE, ideally gained from a top-tier or well-ranked firm specialising in contentious private client work.
- Experienced in handling contentious trusts and estates matters, with a strong understanding of estates, trusts, and Court of Protection disputes.
- Committed to providing high-quality legal advice with sensitivity and discretion, particularly in emotionally complex cases.
