Due to an increase in workload growth within the business,our client, a leadingengineeringManufacturing company based near Oldham are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their existing Quality team on a permanent basis.
As part of the Quality Engineering Team, candidates will be required to work with customers, supplier and internal staff to investigate and address NCR\’s raised.
Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served in a Mechanical Discipline with a demonstrable background within Quality Engineering with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Fabrication, Machining and Assembly.
This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.
Hours – Mon – Fri 0730- 1530
Role Description
- Compiling and reviewing Quality, Welding, NDE procedures in accordance with customer specifications.
- Regular surveillance of QA compliance including welding, and NDE records.
- Liaison with customers through all stages of manufacture to contract completion.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients.
- Providing inter departmental support with contract requirement information.
- Close liaison with all business functions in addition to QHSE including Production and Projects
- Review and presentation of lifetime records during manufacture and on contract completion.
- Assisting in maintaining and continued development/improvement of Quality and Business Management Systems including Health, Safety and Environmental.
Skills & Attributes
- Time served in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience as a Quality Engineerwithin an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including Machining, Fabrication and Assembly
