Energy Aspects currently has an exciting opportunity for an IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with good knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Windows networks to join our highly regarded team and be part of our successful growth story.
The successful candidate will quickly take on a range of responsibilities and will contribute to the full cycle of our work from User Support, Operating Systems, Directory Services, Hosting & Cloud Services and Networking Technologies.
Reporting to a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing knowledgeable advice and using your expertise to help end users solve their technology issues. This position would be ideal for individuals with up to three year’s experience in IT Desktop Support, and a desire to join a growing company.
This position will require being in the office 5 days a week, flexibility and the drive to go beyond the core hours when needed, ensuring we all fulfil our goals. You must be able to work independently, as well as be capable of planning and prioritising to achieve success. Identifying and resolving technical problems ensuring that the work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with department guidelines

Helping with implementations, deployments and changes

Preparing and setting up of new desks/computers

Managing the IT inventory across all sites

Maximising the use of tools and technologies to deliver operational excellence

Maintain and update existing Knowledgebase documentation

Broader ad-hoc project support when required

A minimum of one years’ experience working in a face-to-face environment doing 1st & 2nd line Support for Windows.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field.

Windows 10/11 relevant certification or proven experience.

Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SUBNETTING, NAT, VLANS, FIREWALLS, VPN.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Toolset.

Good understanding of Active Directory, Office 365, Entra

Good general computer hardware and networking knowledge

Good communicator whether face-to-face, telephone or electronic interaction
