Shape performance and growth focused Learning and Development at LBS

London Business School is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Associate Director, Learning & Development to join our People Team on maternity cover. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our learning and development strategy, enhancing the skills and capabilities of staff at all levels.

As the Associate Director, Learning & Development you will build, deliver, and evaluate the impact of our learning and development strategy. Your focus will be on enabling individual, team, department, and whole School performance through targeted learning interventions for staff, managers, and leadership populations, fostering a vibrant learning culture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement learning and development solutions in line with business needs and for staff operating at junior, middle and senior levels.
  • Evaluate and measure the impact of learning interventions.
  • Review our existing approach to performance management, recommending any improvements in line with organisational needs, capability, and appetite.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the School to ensure alignment with strategic goals and core activity
  • Facilitate a culture of continuous learning and development which enables performance, growth, engagement and belonging
  • Manage and coach the Talent Development Advisor (dual reporting line with the Associate Director, Talent Management) and the L&D Coordinator, enabling their engagement, performance and growth.
  • Being an active member of the Talent and Employee Experience management team, enabling the team to belong and thrive

  • Experience with online learning platforms and performance tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects effectively.
