Job Introduction
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for a specific buying area for the business: Wonder Room. You will negotiate the best terms for Selfridges, manage existing brands, and work with marketing to drive sales and maximise profitability of the Wonder Room.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Wonder Room and manage its performance through regular meetings with concession partners and performance analysis, making recommendations to the Director of Buying.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including margins, minimum guarantees, marketing budgets, and exclusivity.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Digital, Marketing, Retail Operations, Personal Shopping, Legal, Property, and Security to ensure effective brand onboarding and project execution.
- Establish meaningful partnerships with concession businesses through regular meetings.
- Identify and exploit new opportunities across regional stores with concession partners.
- Manage existing brands by analyzing performance, taking necessary actions, and deciding to retain or discontinue brands.
- Support the Buying Director on key pop-up activations and brand launches.
