HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver – 4 on 4 off – Immediate Starts

Pay Rates (plus holiday pay):

  • Monday to Friday AM: £19.75 per hour
  • Monday to Friday PM: £20.50 per hour
  • Saturday: £21.25 per hour
  • Sunday: £22.00 per hour

Job Description:

StaffCo Direct are actively recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers for yard-only shunting on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with immediate starts available. We are looking for professional and reliable drivers to support our client\’s yard operations with ongoing, stable work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Yard shunting of trailers and units
  • Safely positioning trailers on and off bays
  • Completing daily vehicle and trailer checks
  • Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
  • Supporting smooth yard flow in a busy environment

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) UK licence, held for a minimum of 2 years
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no IN, DR, or DD convictions)
  • Good communication skills and professional attitude
  • Physically fit and well-presented
  • Previous yard shunting experience beneficial but not essential
