The Opportunity
Following a large investment into this Super Quarry we are now looking to expand our operational expertise and the experienced team onsite can help you start or further develop your career in the world of Quarry Operations
Based onsite at Torr Works near Shepton Mallet, a Limestone Super Quarry and one of the largest in Europe we now have an opportunity for new Team Leader to help ensure we are working efficiently and safely onsite.
Youll play an essential role in the supervising of quarry operations, ensuring that safety standards are met and driving the operational efficiency of the site. Youll have the support of our experienced Quarry team to help with any technical knowledge, so well want you to bring to Team Leader experience from an Industrial/ Manufacturing environment instead.
Youll coordinate with the operational teams to optimise resource allocation and help minimise production downtime. As well as look for ways to improve processes onsite, by implementing best practices to improve quarry efficiency and safety standards.
Depending on the area in the quarry youll find yourself Operating equipment within Primary Crushing, Mobile Plant, Wash Plants as well as Processing and Distribution areas.
Option 1: Monday-Friday rotating 05:00-14:30 & 13:00-22:30
With some weekend work as required.
Who you are
Youll either have existing Quarry experience looking for that first step up, or be a Team Leader in a different industry keen to develop a career within a Quarry environment.
We have a strong culture of Health & Safety onsite, so it is pivotal you can work in a safe manner.
Youll have excellent communication skills, confidence in providing direction and promoting a safe culture within your team.
