Our client, a leading engineering organization based in Hastings, is seeking a Senior Hardware Analogue Engineer for an initial 6–9 month contract. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge defense projects, with potential consideration for candidates from adjacent technical domains.
Role Overview:
This role involves working within a collaborative engineering team to deliver high-reliability analogue hardware solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to contribute to both design and integration phases of the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret customer requirements
- Create and modify analogue and mixed-signal electronic circuit designs and architecture
- Use simulation tools to generate verification test benches
- Participate in and contribute to design reviews
- Ensure configuration control and documentation compliance
- Integrate hardware designs into larger systems
- Support module and system commissioning
- Collaborate with manufacturing during build and test phases
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive Analog Circuit Design experience (e.g., amplifiers, filters, oscillators)
- Understanding of Signal Integrity and EMC principles
- Knowledge of Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog conversion techniques
- Proficiency in power supply and power distribution circuit design
- Strong testing and debugging skills (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
- Hardware design and verification against requirements
- Experience with requirements capture, work package definition, and estimation
- Familiarity with RTCA/DO-254 development guidelines (preferred)
Additional Information:
- Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is a prerequisite for this role
- Hybrid Working: Onsite presence required in Hastings; hybrid options available post ramp-up
