Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor

Vital are working with a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company.

Mechanical Supervisor required for a long-term commercial building services project/site near Newquay, Cornwall.

Start Date: ASAP

Site hours: 43 hrs basic Mon – Fri

Duration: 24 months plus

Duties:

• Supervision of a mechanical trades team on a commercial building services government defence project.
• Supervising and managing labour, including sub contractors and direct staff.
• Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members.
• Monitoring work progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Providing guidance and support to team members.
• Ensuring a high standard of work.
• Implementing Health and Safety in a positive manner, PPE, RAMS etc.

Candidates expected to undertake a security clearance check.

Requirements:

• SSSTS Certification (or SMSTS), Mechanical trade accreditation: Skillcard, JIB, etc.
• Experience of working in a defence environment is advantageous.
• Time served/apprenticed mechanically with relevant supervisory experience working with an established building services/mechanical contractor.
• Must be able to pass SC clearance.

CIS: Standard Mon-Fri (43hrs): £35.00 per hour CIS (Plus OT). PAYE pay rates are available.
