QA Engineer
Job Description
We are currently seeking a QA Engineer to contribute to the planning and execution of comprehensive automation testing within our Sage People team.
As a QA Engineer at Sage, you play a key role in identifying, planning, designing, developing, and maintaining projects and processes that expand automation, aiming to reduce manual testing costs and improve product quality.
*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Winnersh office. ***
Key Responsibilities
β’ Define automation goals, strategies, processes, and metrics, ensuring alignment across project teams.
β’ Contribute to automation planning, architecture, and scheduling, coordinating with internal and external teams.
β’ Support Test Engineers and Developers by identifying valuable automation areas and sharing automation skills.
β’ Track test results, report summaries, and update automation status, taking corrective actions as needed.
β’ Design, develop, and maintain automated tests and frameworks across multiple products.
Requirements
β’ Proven background in end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of automated tests and frameworks.
β’ Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress, using JavaScript/TypeScript.
β’ Strong understanding of the importance of software reliability and quality through effective automation and consistent testing processes.
β’ ISTQB certification is a plus but not essential.
