QA Engineer

Job Description
We are currently seeking a QA Engineer to contribute to the planning and execution of comprehensive automation testing within our Sage People team.

As a QA Engineer at Sage, you play a key role in identifying, planning, designing, developing, and maintaining projects and processes that expand automation, aiming to reduce manual testing costs and improve product quality.

*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Winnersh office. ***

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Define automation goals, strategies, processes, and metrics, ensuring alignment across project teams.
β€’ Contribute to automation planning, architecture, and scheduling, coordinating with internal and external teams.
β€’ Support Test Engineers and Developers by identifying valuable automation areas and sharing automation skills.
β€’ Track test results, report summaries, and update automation status, taking corrective actions as needed.
β€’ Design, develop, and maintain automated tests and frameworks across multiple products.

Requirements
β€’ Proven background in end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of automated tests and frameworks.
β€’ Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress, using JavaScript/TypeScript.
β€’ Strong understanding of the importance of software reliability and quality through effective automation and consistent testing processes.
β€’ ISTQB certification is a plus but not essential.
