We are seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated night team at our small animal hospital in Frome, Somerset, working alongside an experienced night nurse.

Advanced diagnostic support includes ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography with full dental staging, and a nurse‑led laser therapy service. All practices are ISFM‑accredited Cat Friendly Clinics, offering designated feline appointments. Our Frome small animal hospital also houses a brand‑new CT scanner, further enhancing our advanced diagnostic capabilities.
  • Located on the Somerset–Wiltshire border, with easy access to Bath, Bristol, Salisbury, and the Cotswolds, direct rail links to London, and the South Coast approximately one hour away.
  • One of the few practices in Somerset and Wiltshire to operate an on‑site out‑of‑hours emergency service at our accredited small animal hospital, Garston House, Frome.
  • Strong collaborative relationships with specialist referral centres within our network, including Eastcott, Cave, and Anderson Moores.

The Team

Our large team has decades of experience with three Lead Vets supporting our clinicians, and Clinical Directors overseeing the running of the practices. Interests within the team include orthopaedics, ECC, exotics, cardiology, dentistry, internal medicine, ultrasound imaging & laparoscopic surgery. We are a sociable team and enjoy nothing more than a party, for example celebrating someone’s birthday which of course, includes cake! We have our own ‘Garston green team’ who have recently achieved the IIE Green accreditation, the highest possible levels of environmental sustainability without compromising patient care and treatment.

  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to progress within your role.
  • A confident Veterinary Surgeon with an interest or certificate holder in ECC.
  • Completion of your VetGDP and RCVS registered.
