The Senior Client Strategy Manager will be part of the Nielsen Sports team in London, responsible for revenue and account management across football clients. This position is a temporary maternity cover role, for 13 months, starting in March 2025.
This position requires a highly effective experienced Senior Account Manager, used to working in a high-paced environment in a varied role. The role will also focus on developing our business by partnering with our internal teams and finding new areas of growth.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Acting as an advisor to senior client contacts through understanding their business challenges and advising on data and insight-based solutions.
- Set the strategy for the team, with a responsibility for revenue and expansion of services offered.
- Proactively develop relationships with new and existing clients, using your initiative to adapt your communication to meet the needs of the clients, and quickly resolve any issues.
- Close collaboration with delivery teams to continuously evolve project management for the benefit of clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Nielsen Sports methodology and solutions, with the ability to pull trend and key insights through our products and tools.
- Fully manage the renewal process with existing clients and prospects, from developing and presenting proposals, to pricing, contracting, and internal processes such as Salesforce.
- Work collaboratively with internal subject matter experts such as Market Research, Media Solutions and Consulting.
- Creating insightful presentations with strong strategic recommendations and solutions.
- Be aware of wider industry trends and how they relate to clients marketing and sponsorship objectives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working client facing, ideally within the sports marketing, media or research industry, working with data and insights.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills and time management.
- Knowledge of, and interest in, the sports sponsorship and media industry.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; PowerPoint experience required, Power BI experience an advantage.
- A no fuss, can do attitude with a willingness to roll the sleeves up and get things done.
