The Opportunity
This role is responsible for leading activities supporting facilities and equipment maintenance by ensuring the technicians and contractors have the tools, resources and training needed to support the Ridings Point facility and utilities.
The successful candidate will be leading proactive and reactive maintenance within the Ridings point distribution centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team leader of 3 Technicians
- Key user for CMMS system and weekly planner
- First point of escalation for breakdowns across the Distribution centre
- Plans and organises contractor work on site following annual compliance and maintenance planner
- Point of contact for contractors and main Permit issuer for all activity on site
- Plans and executes follow up work from statutory inspection
- Ensure timely completion of critical calibration tasks
- Drive a positive safety and compliance culture
- Manages spare part ordering and stock level
- Key user on Ariba / SAP to raise facilities PO\βs
- Hands on completion of own PPMs
- Liaise with commercial quality and support implementation of change controls
- Lead RCA and accident investigations
- Aids follow through on site CAPEX plans
- SOP author for facilities team across Ridings point and Harlow
- Maintain 5\βs standards of facilities owned areas
- Attend site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders β site staff / Ops / H and S / contractors
- Conduct contractor inductions when they are either expired or new to site
- Conduct annual contractor / supplier review
- Lead team meetings when technical manager is off site
- Identify new suppliers and service providers that can add value to the site through a better or different service.
- Ensure email alerts for critical systems are monitored and reacted to in timely manner (Building management and Environmental management systems as well as server rooms)
- Proactively monitor and analyse reports generated from BMS and EMS systems and react as necessary
- Lead annual reviews of all facilities RA\βs and COSHH assessments
Who We\βre Looking For
Do You Have?
- An Engineering Apprenticeship / Degree
- Qualified engineer / technician with a strong electrical background
- IOSH managing safely
- Working knowledge of PUWER / LOLER
- Experience managing a team of Technicians (or general team management)
- Experience in managing contractors and suppliers
- Computer literate β Microsoft packages / CMMS and CAFM
- AutoCad & IPAF (3a & 3b) would both be desireable
