Press Brake Setter Operator

Press Brake Setter /Operator – Day shift Recra are working in partnership with a CNC laser cutting company that fold, weld and powder coat. Our client are looking to add an experienced Press Brake setter on a Dayshift based in Leicester. Duties: * Set up and operate press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. * Assemble and install tooling, such as dies, punches, and gauges, onto press brake machines. * Perform quality inspections of fabricated parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. – Read and interpret blueprints to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances for each part. * Adjust machine settings to ensure proper bending angles and dimensions are achieved. * Monitor machine operation to detect any malfunctions or issues that may affect the quality of the parts. – Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning and lubricating Qualifications: * Previous experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment is required. * Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints for sheet metal fabrication. * Knowledge of various hand tools used in sheet metal fabrication. * Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools for quality inspection. – Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. * Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during machine operation. – Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-1pm
