Job Description
Role: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
Salary: £16.15 per hour including holiday pay (£14.40 with accrued holiday pay)
Location: Wythenshawe, Trafford
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 0630am until 1500 – Full time, contract, permanent
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for FOUR permanent HGV Class 2 Waste Refuse to fulfil our client's requirements. This role will be based Wythenshawe and cover the Trafford area.
HGV Class 2 Waste Driver position offers a competitive salary and overtime and the standard guaranteed hours for this role are 40 hours per week.
In this HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver role, you will support the client by playing a part in managing waste effectively, ensuring that highways and surrounding areas are kept clean, safe and free of debris. You will collaborate with members of the public and other team members to create a hygienic and aesthetically pleasing community.

HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver Responsibilities:
- You will operate the HGV and ensure the collection of refuse/recycling from requested locations, following a route that has been set out by the business and dispose of refuse/recycling at the appropriate waste collection sites.
- Carry out vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with both company vehicle policy and legislative requirements and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Work as a member of the team and receive any instructions from supervisors and communicate them with other crew members and be compliant with health and safety at work requirements.
- Maintain the best operational relationship between the public, other customers and client representatives by dealing courteously with complaints and queries.
- Carry out and assist with loading responsibilities.

HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver will requirements:
- Full Category C Driving Licence
- Experience of driving Class 2 vehicle
- Valid CPC and Digital tacho
- Basic Literacy skills

We offer a true, honest, and personal service and you will deal directly with the business owner. Plus, attractive rate of pay PLUS, regular overtime, paid weekly via PAYE. Hourly pay Rate of £16.82 includes holiday pay but can be accrued should you wish.
