Red Bull Advanced Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Composites Design Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting-edge composite components across a range of innovative and high-performance projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead Composite Design Projects from clean sheet idea generation, tooling, detailed component design, assemblies, associated jigs, and supporting documentation.
- To work with the Head of Composite Design to determine realistic project deadlines.
- To work with and guide other Composites Designer Engineers in areas of material selection, laminate design, structural sign off.
- To produce & sign off designs, drawings and laminate manuals.
- Be confident in presenting and justifying your ideas and design work.
- To help mentor & manage less-experienced engineers.
- Appreciate the wider organisational picture and & engage with planning & deliverables.
- Essential Competencies:
- Be educated to degree Level or equivalent within Engineering, Design or a similar discipline.
- Have recent & relevant experience working with Composite Materials, ideally within Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or a fast-paced Engineering environment.
- Possess a broad understanding of current composite design & practical production/machining technologies, composite manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Be expert in the use of a top tier 3D CAD system (Siemens NX is preferable though not essential).
- Be familiar with the effective use of GD&T.
- A concise, effective communicator using written and verbal English language.
